At Industry we strive to do all we can to preserve the earth and our environment in our space. We do this in collaboration with Aveda and the mission they stand behind, as an Aveda Concept Salon.
We also offer a “Donation to sustainability efforts add-on” - This is because we are always striving to be more sustainable and reduce our carbon footprint! If you would like to donate to our efforts to offset the initial cost of achieving this goal, add this on!
We do this by:
Recycling
-Boxes and packaging that we receive from Aveda is not only made out of post consumer recycled materials, but we then recycle them or repurpose them inside of the salon for better use. Shampoo, conditioner and product bottles are also recycled or refilled and reused inside of the salon and any caps, lids, containers etc. are recycled if not repurposed and reused as well.
-Service providers use reusable gloves and masks to eliminate waste.
-Color waste is measured at the end of every day to monitor how much color waste we are producing and strive to decrease that number quarterly.
Sanitation processes
-When the towels used for guests are getting ratty, we repurpose them and use them as sanitation towels to clean the space and limit any cleaning/paper waste products.
Paperless
-We work primarily off of technology and a booking software. When you’ve booked an appointment you are sent a form to fill out giving us your hair history, contact info etc to limit any paper signatures or information needed.
Plants Plants Plants
-We’re obsessed with our little jungle and are continually propagating and adding more plants and moving them around our space. +Fun Fact+ a lot of our plants are planted in Aveda candles glass jars after they’ve burned down.
